“Brea” Wooly Mammoth Smudge

At a wee 4 inches tall, these tiny mammoths live on the wild side. As the pictures show, this little lady recently got a bit to close for comfort when visiting the La Brea Tar Pits. She just peeked over the edge and it was going going gone! Good thing she was able to clamber up outta that sticky mess and make her way to Designer Con! These plush/mixed media figures are the 1st edition of the ‘Brea” Smudges and are limited to a mere 6 pieces. Their tummies are made of a pretty vintage floral fabric, of which every spare scrap was used!

“Return of The Living Smudge!”

The zombie sickness has finally taken foot in the Smudge Community. These itty bitty hand-stitched blood splattered ‘Return of The Living Smudge” plush figures feature a bright pink oozing brain, vintage button eyes, and enough bloody gore to last you until next Halloween! Series 1 is a run of 18 (10 of which will be available to Designer Con attendees!)

Happy Cream Minis
I painted 10 mini ice cream figures, each like a different ice cream flavor. Each set comes on an oversized backer board (signed and numbered out of 20) with a different blister pack for each toy. Really stoked on these, and there’s only 20! I’ve never had such a wall-friendly way to display my toys before. Available at the Sidekick Labs booth (#118) for $150 each.

The Super Suck Up Figure
As mentioned before, I customized 50 Sucklord toys. George Gaspar from October Toys sculpted and cast this awesome ice cream head. I painted the heads and the bodies for these, and Sucklord designed the backer board that they come packaged on. I’m 1 of about 15 artists that customized figures for this project. Available at the DKE booth (#124) for $100 each.

Mishka Bootlegs
My good buddy Lamour Supreme designed and sculpted this crazy figure for our friends at Mishka. I totally love this figure, and painted a few for New York Comic Con recently. Now, this time around, I painted a run of 5, and created a brand new header card for the figure. Available at the Mishka booth (#507) for $350 each.

Boombotix have just announced that they will be at Designer-Con 2012… and they are proud to announce that they will be doing a signing there with SketOne to help promote their upcoming Artist Series release… and wow do these look good!!! They mention that it’s been a while since they’ve been able to return to the DIY roots of this toy… and as you can see, the artists involved (SketOne, Uberpup, and DGPH) really did a great job utilizing the shape! The line is gonna be available through DKE in both Bluetooth($80) and wired models($55). So be sure to swing by their booth #205 to check these out, and to meet Sket!!!
